Frosty 5k - February 20, 2010 |

The Frosty 5K Run & Walk event will start and finish this year right on the Capitol Square under the glow of the Wisconsin State Capitol dome. The race features a beautiful course, winding down the State Street by the Overture Center of the Arts, through downtown Madison to Kohl Center, and back up to the Capitol Square on West Washington Avenue looking up the Capitol Building.
Frosty 5K will have chip timing and great prizes for overall and age group winners, and of course hot chocolate and cookies for all participants at both the start and the finish. So mark your calendar for February 20th, 2010 and keep enjoying outdoor winter sports.

Start 2010 off on the right foot and step up to our Winter Fitness Challenge! Certified personal trainer, Kristin Haanstad will lead a 4-week circuit training style fitness program in the Movin' Shoes loft starting January 6th. You will use a variety of equipment, as well as your own body, to improve full body strength, endurance, agility and flexibility. Classes will be held Wednesdays from 12-12:30 pm. MadCity 100k - April 10, 2010 |

Join 2-5 of your closest friends to participate in a season opener relay event. The Mad City 50k Relay takes place Saturday, April 10th. Each team member runs a 10k loop through the beautiful University of Wisconsin Arboretum. On January 6th, 2010 from 5:30pm - 6:30pm there will be an evening seminar at Movni' Shoes led by Paul Krzesinski. From foot pain, hamstring tightness or pain, plantar fasciitis, low back pain, pulled muscles, hip pain, core strength, and injury prevention, Paul Krzesinski DC from United Chiropractic will discuss ways to prevent injuries and improve performance. Run away with a better understanding of how activating certain muscles at key joints can reduce the risk of many common running injuries.
